Following Kronos Father of Zeus and the original classic Kronos, Kronos Unleashed resembles the most recent title in the family with the primary addition of power-ups during the Respin Feature.
Like Kronos Father of Zeus, you can play this game in one of two ways: Standard or with "More Lightning" where the latter option will initiate the Lightning Respin Feature if 6 or more Kronos symbols land on reel 1. This comes at a cost, of course, and if you're not taking advantage of this feature, then you need to fully land reel 1 with Kronos for the Lightning Respin Feature to occur.
During the Lightning Respin Feature you are awarded 3 respins and if at least 1 additional non-blank symbol lands onscreen during a Respin, you are awarded 1 additional Respin. During this bonus, Kronos symbols can land or one of the Power-Up symbols, which will then award one of the following:
1. One complete extra row of Kronos symbols.
2. Entry into the Jackpot Bonus, where you be awarded a Progressive or Credit Award.
3. All positions surrounding the power-up will be converted to Kronos.
4. An increase in the Credit Awards for Kronos line hits.
The Free Spins Bonus is initiated by landing 3 or more scattered bonus symbols on reels 1 thru 5 where each of these symbols are over-sized covering up to 3 regular reel spaces. Unlike prior Kronos versions, the method of calculating your number of Free Spins is different and is called the "Boxing Feature" where bonus symbols that land adjacent to each other and that fully cover the reels will form a box where each reel in that box will award 1, 4 or 5 free spins depending on whether you landed 3, 4 or 5 scatter bonus symbols respectively. What this means is that if you land 5 bonus symbols perfectly, you can be awarded a maximum of 200 free spins, if only!!
